The Delano Grape Strike happened in Delano, California during 1965-1970. The central event of the strike was when over 2,000 Filipino and Latino farm workers refused to work. Communication took place when the people started to boycott and protest against the owners to receive their rights. They united and created change. The Filipino and Latino farm workers got better working conditions, better paying wage, and many increased benefits.

I think this video represents a great image of how times were during the strike. It shows how people contributed to making a good deed.

At the time when many Filipino and Latino workers realized that their working conditions were not fair. The Delano Grape Strike communicated by protest when many people gathered to promote fair working conditions for the grape workers. This resulted in the signing of union contracts which agreed to a better pay, better working conditions, and benefits for the grape workers.

This showed that it doesn't matter what race you are, but if you can work together to get what's right then anything is possible. Sooner or later there is going to be another strike of some sort. Then and there, there is going to be another form of communication between several race groups. This is significant because the world saw a major point of communication between two racial groups. The Filipino and Latino people coming together and working out a solution that was fair toward the people who worked in the grape industry.
